Synergism and antagonism
Synergism and antagonism, as shown in the picture on the first slide, can be quite difficult to navigate. It brings us back to the basic point *the whole body works together*. The body needs to be viewed as a whole, not as several separate parts. It is so interconnected that we would be doing it a huge disservice by focusing on just the skin, or just the heart, or just the adrenals, etc.
This can be also viewed in nutrient relationships. You take too much of one and it can create a deficiency in other two. You are deficient in one and it can create deficiency in other nutrients. That’s why it is always better to test and not guess. Blind supplementation is almost never a good choice.
