GI Map is a stool test that gives us insight into pathogens, bacteria, viruses, and fungi by targeting the specific DNA of the organisms tested through quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology. Basically, it gives us insight into the gut microbiome. Another thing I love about this test is that it also shows us intestinal health markers so we can determine if there is an intestinal inflammation, if the body is producing enough enzymes to break down the food, if the person can digest fats, how the phase 3 estrogen detoxification is working and more!
